There was a surprising person next to MSNBC's Chris Matthews on Monday's "Andrea Mitchell Reports."
He co-anchored the show with his wife Kathleen. Mitchell tweeted,
Chris and Kathleen Matthews read headlines, interviewed Senator Bob Corker over recent events in Egypt, spoke to the Washington Post's Ruth Marcus about the NYPD's stop-and-frisk program and discussed the RNC's boycott on NBC News and CNN for GOP debates. At one point during the interview with Senator Corker, Kathleen Matthews cited her job at Marriot International, which she said has 45 hotels in the Middle East, when asking about the region's attempts to achieve "political stability."
Prior to her job at Marriot, Matthews was an anchor for ABC's Washington DC affiliate WJLA for 25 years.
