Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence share a steamy scene in their upcoming science-fiction movie “Passengers,” and it sounds like getting it right was quite the production.

Pratt told E! News Monday at Comic-Con that he did his best to put his leading lady at ease while filming the sex scene.

“We’re actors and it’s a big a part of the job,” Pratt said. “Your job as a leading man is to make the actress feel comfortable, and you do that by minimizing the amount of people that are there and ... having a sense of whether or not they’re feeling okay.”

Lawrence previously explained how she needed some liquid courage prior to hitting the sheets for her uncomfortable scene.

I got really, really drunk,” the actress told The Hollywood Reporter during roundtable interview last year. “But then that led to more anxiety when I got home because I was like, ‘What have I done? I don’t know.’ And he was married. And it was going to be my first time kissing a married man, and guilt is the worst feeling in your stomach. And I knew it was my job, but I couldn’t tell my stomach that.”

While sharing a glass of red wine with Seth Meyers in December, Lawrence perfectly described what makes a sex scene so awkward.

“With sex scenes, you don’t know what to do,” the actress said. “You’re like, is it enough? Is it — your worst nightmare — is it too much? Are they going to be like, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa!’”

We’ll have to wait and see how it all turned out when “Passengers” hits theaters Dec. 21, 2016.
