Hey, Chris Pratt Could Star In New 'Jurassic Park'!

He fell in the pit? According to TheWrap, "Parks and Recreation" star Chris Pratt is in early negotiations to play the male lead in "Jurassic World," the fourth film in the "Jurassic Park" franchise.

Pratt, who is leading next summer's "Guardians of the Galaxy" for Marvel, replaces Josh Brolin in the conversation. Brolin was first attached to "Jurassic World" in September, and then connected again in a more official capacity last month. Per Variety, "scheduling and salary" were the reasons why Brolin didn't agree to star in the film.

If he's cast, Pratt would join Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson and Ty Simpkins in the cast. (Jake Johnson was also rumored for a role in a report by Deadline.com, but his name hasn't surfaced in any recent stories on the film.) Colin Trevorrow will direct "Jurassic World" from a script he co-wrote with Derek Connolly. The duo also worked on Trevorrow's breakout indie film, "Safety Not Guaranteed."

Pratt has not made any official statement on the "Jurassic World" report, but Bert Macklin seems pleased.
