Chuck E. Cheese Parking Lot Killer Robert Herrera Identified, Remains At Large

Murder Over A Parking Spot At Chuck E. Cheese

Authorities have identified and are searching for the suspect in a fatal shooting at a Chuck E. Cheese parking lot in downtown LA, reports the Daily Breeze.

Police believe that on April 28, an argument over a parking spot outside the Chuck E. Cheese at La Alameda Plaza occurred between 27-year-old Robert Herrera and 29-year-old Daniel Villanueva, according to KTLA. Herrera then apparently shot Villanueva as he sat in his car. Villanueva died soon after.

Mr. Herrera is still at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Herrera's sister, Heira Herrea, was with him in the car, and was arrested earlier this month, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department.

There have recently been several similar cases across America in which shots were fired outside of Chuck E. Cheese establishments. In October, NBC reported a gang-related shooting outside the Torrance location of the pizza and entertainment establishment. Several months after that, a man was killed in a shooting in the parking lot of a Las Vegas franchise, says the Las Vegas Sun. And only a week before the murder of Villanueva, a man was shot to death in the parking lot of a New Orleans location, WWLTV tells us.

Investigators urge anyone with information on Herrera's whereabouts to call the sheriff's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500 or “Crime Stoppers” at dialing 800-222-TIPS (8477), or to visit the website lacrimestoppers.org.
