Cipriana Quann, Urban Bush Babes Editor-In-Chief, And Her Hands-Off Solution To Clear Skin

One Girl's Hands-Off Solution To Clear Skin

We've had a crush on Cipriana Quann ever since we stumbled across her natural hair blog, Urban Bush Babes. So when we spotted her (and her towering topknot) outside of Lincoln Center during New York Fashion Week, our hearts skipped a beat.

Once we got over the initial shock, we chatted all things hair, makeup and skin with Quann. The natural beauty is a huge fan of 100 percent extra virgin cold-pressed coconut and olive oils, and she uses SheaMoisture Raw Shea Butter Reconstructive Finishing Elixir to condition her curly locks and control frizz.

Quann doesn't wear foundation or concealer, but she does use a bit of powder to reduce the shine in her T-zone area. Drugstore beauty products like Maybelline mascara and Wet 'N Wild lipstick glam up her look. However, she believes that beauty starts from within.

She explained, "If you have a good foundation, then anything you place on top will just enhance. Therefore, a healthy diet, increasing water intake, exercise, sleep and decreasing stress in your life works wonders on any problematic issues or just for youthful-looking skin and healthy hair."

Her biggest beauty tip is even simpler: Keep your hands off your face. "You will be surprised how many things you touch and what bacteria and germs can effect the condition of your skin, leading to breakouts, so make sure to wash your hands," said Quann.
