City Hearts Kicks Off Their "Winter Is Coming Tour" in Downtown Los Angeles

Festival season is not over for Southern California party crew, Desert Hearts. To feed the nation with a healthy heap of house and techno music, the tight-knit Desert Hearts family is providing a 13-city, "Winter is Coming Tour" that will span from California to New York. Aptly altering their name to City Hearts, they kicked off their tour in Los Angeles on December 5th with their next show in Chicago on December 11th.

The Los Angeles event took place at the Belasco in downtown, an old-timey theater that was packed with the familiar faces of the music festival community. With Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Marbs, Porkchop and Deep Jesus decorating the bill, Desert Heart lovers were aglow with the unmistakable radiance that dancing evokes. Though extremely crowded, every shoulder bumped was received with a smile instead of a glare. Desert Hearts always manages to bring the best vibes out of their fans.

With the help of the legendary Funktion-One speakers, the sound was on point, bouncing and pulsating from floor to ceiling. There was the usual array of unusual treasures, from clothing adorned in sacred geometry to sparkling wrapped crystals and hand made jewelry. Live artists lined the perimeter as they stroked their canvasses with Technicolor whirls and an aerialist spun high above the crowd, bound by silky, undulating fabrics.

As their City Hearts journey begins with dates in Illinois, Texas, Mexico, California, Colorado, New York, Florida and Washington, fans all over the country are waiting with bated breath. Though a total local phenomenon, the Desert Hearts crew has been garnering favor nationwide and their "Winter is Coming Tour" will expand their reach beyond Southern California. Their "one stage, one vibe" motto still holds true as the members of the lineup cohesively intermingle with one another creating a continuous soundtrack at each event. Like a microcosmic music festival, City Hearts is a home away from home.
