Clean Stainless Steel Appliances With...Flour?

Usually flour makes a mess of our kitchens -- but not this time.

We absolutely love stainless steel appliances and accents. The finish adds such a sleek look to any kitchen. But we're not all that fond of the finger prints and smudges that show up on this finish. So we were thrilled when Mother Nature Network found a great, chemical-free way to clean stainless steel and keep it looking beautiful.

First, apply dry flour (as in baking flour) on a rag. Next, buff it into the sink, refrigerator or oven. Then simply rinse it off and the surface should be shiny.

We're big fans of repurposing ideas and love the fact that this tip is good for us and the environment. Plus, it's a good way to get your kitchen sparkling without having to make a big project out of cleaning.
