Clean Vases With Gravel To Easily Get Into Those Hard-To-Reach Places (PHOTOS)

You'll be surprised by how these little pebbles can be put to work.

Spring means flowers, but if you want your blooms to look their best, you have to do one important thing: clean those vases. But giving them a good wash can be a little difficult, especially if you're dealing with a narrow one. Luckily, Family Handyman found a super easy way to get your vessel gleaming...with aquarium gravel.

First, fill the container one-third of the way with water. Then, add a handful of gravel. Next, give it a good shake. Finally, dump the rocks in either the trash or a strainer (to save for next time).

The pebbles will remove any stuck on dirt that a normal cleaning tool can't access. So, even if you don't have fish, you can invest in a bag of this stuff to help around the house.
