Clemson Beats Oklahoma, Advancing To National Championship Game

The Clemson Tigers defeated the Oklahoma Sooners 37-17 at the Orange Bowl on Thursday, advancing to the national championship game.

Clemson's had 312 yards rushing and stifled Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield in the second half. Mayfield had two costly interceptions in the second half that helped put the game away for Clemson.

While the Sooners' quarterback struggled, the Tigers' Deshaun Watson threw for 187 yards and one touchdown, and had 145 yards and one touchdown on the ground.

After going into halftime down 17-16, Clemson outscored Oklahoma 21-0 in the second half.

The Tigers are now 14-0 heading to the Jan. 11 championship game, where they will play the winner of Thursday's Alabama-Michigan State contest.
