CNN To Re-Air Jake Tapper's 'The Lead' In Prime Time

CNN will reportedly re-air "The Lead" during the 10:00 p.m. hour next week, making the move the network's second experiment with the time slot just this month.

Anderson Cooper's 8:00 p.m. show "AC 360" typically repeats at 10:00 p.m., but the network broadcast a weeklong series titled "(Get To) The Point" last week as a trial run. The ratings were disappointing and quickly mocked by many, including Jon Stewart.

TVNewser reported on Thursday that Jake Tapper's 4:00 p.m. show "The Lead" will now have its run at a primetime spot, indicating the network's interest in reshaping the 10:00 p.m. hour.

Cooper recently told The Hollywood Reporter that he was "fine" with moving the time his show repeated. "I’ve never really cared too much about what particular hour of the day I’m broadcasting from," Cooper said. "[CNN president] Jeff [Zucker] talked about not having it repeated at 10 and repeat it later, and that’s fine with me ... It really doesn’t matter to me what hour of the day the show is on."
