CNN's John Berman Looks Back At Negative Political Ads (VIDEO)

WATCH: The Most Negative Political Ad Of All-Time?

The barrage of negative ads of the 2012 election season had CNN's John Berman doing a double take on Thursday.

President Obama and Mitt Romney have both hit each other's campaigns for going negative. On Thursday, Berman said that their attacks are no different than every other presidential election in American history.

Berman took a look at the long history of negative political ads — including Lyndon B. Johnson's infamous Daisy Girl ad. "Until we get charges of robbery, nuclear war starting or prostitute procuring, maybe this will have to wait," Berman said, replaying a clip of Romney claiming that Obama is "taking things to a new low."
