Coach Bud Fails To Realize Everyone Left The Huddle, Keeps Coaching

"No one ever listens to me anyway."

With a clipboard in hand and a play in mind, Atlanta Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer called a timeout with 8.7 seconds left in Tuesday’s game, trying to stave off a Miami Heat comeback. Coach Bud was so captivated by what was surely a groundbreaking inbounds play that he didn’t even notice that he was in a huddle of one, all by his lonesome, as all of his Hawks players had wandered away from him and his dry-erase marker.

When asked about the incident after the game, Bud didn't even indicate that it was that out of the ordinary.

Props to Kyle Korver and Tiago Splitter for sticking around the longest. But more props to Coach Bud who went right on circling and strategizing even when he was going stag in the later stages of the timeout.
