While all designers have their fair share of model BFFs, few share a bond as close as that between Coco Rocha and Zac Posen. What started as a simple fashion week casting for the designer's Spring 2007 runway show, has since evolved into an ongoing collaborative experience and more importantly, a close friendship.
"I'm so excited to be here at my dear friend Zac Posen's spring 2015 show," gushed Coco backstage at the designer's show on Monday. Though the show was just the latest in the supermodel's long string of appearances on the designer's runway -- Coco has walked in every single one of Posen's shows since booking her first one in 2007-- it was clear that she was still every bit as excited. And rightfully so!
For the season ahead, the designer leaned towards the classic and simple, which in most cases would equate to "safe" and "boring," but in Posen's case resulted in a confident, architectural, and slightly sportier collection made for the modern Audrey Hepburn type. Or perhaps, the Coco Rocha type?
"I love everything from vintage and contemporary to more modern and sculpted," said Coco of her often photographed street style. "I'm a little bit of everything."
Oddly enough, that statement could have also been used to describe the three red-carpet ready looks the model wore on the runway that evening. There was a red cocktail number featuring a high-low hemline, an off-the-shoulder black ball gown, and our favorite, a graphic white shift dress that worked beautifully with Coco's cherry red lip (courtesy of Kabuki for MAC Cosmetics) and oversized '60-style shades. Consider it modern elegance at its finest.
