Coffee Expert Reviews Pumpkin Spice Lattes, And The Snark Is Incredible

Wes Johansen knows his coffee. And also snark.

The Los Angeles-based barista and Buzzfeed's resident coffee expert sat down to sample Starbucks' ever popular Pumpkin Spice Latte. The latte, which gets its name from signature fall spices and not any actual pumpkin content, is pretty polarizing in the coffee community. You either adore its super sweet autumnal flare or you hate it -- and Johansen kind of sounds like he hates it, even though he was cool with the iced variety.

He finishes off his dig-filled review of hot and iced versions with a smirk -- and an extra star for the cold drink: "So as long as you're comfortable being, you know, a postmodern individual, I think this is the winner."

So there you have it. Iced PSLs are the breakfast of champions -- if you have a thing for Vonnegut, and don't necessarily want your coffee to taste like coffee. Which is A-OK, too.
