Roast Your Own Coffee

It's just as easy as popping popcorn.

We're big into the idea of making things from scratch. We make our own pickles. And we even sometimes make our own vanilla extract. But there are some things that feel a little out of our reach. And we always thought roasting our own coffee was one of those things. Turns out, it's not. Because roasting your own coffee is as easy as popping popcorn.

Food blogger Not Without Salt shows us just how valuable a popcorn popper can be. Not for popping popcorn, we all know that's a job for the stove -- but for roasting your own coffee beans, of course. Because if you're really into coffee, then you know the importance of getting your beans freshly roasted. And it doesn't get any fresher than roasting them yourselves. See how it's done in the video above and check out Not Without Salt for further instructions.
