Stephen Colbert Mocks Huckabee & Trump For Dropping Out Of GOP Race (VIDEO)

WATCH: Colbert Predicted Huckabee Wouldn't Run For President

With potential GOP presidential nominees dropping faster than Sarah Palin's favorability ratings, one man may hold the key to the success of the ultimate victor: Stephen Colbert.

Colbert was clearly disappointed that Mike Huckabee made the announcement not to run for president last night, but it was hardly a surprise to him: Although Huckabee had been polling ahead of many other potential candidates, Colbert's system of predicting success (i.e. his On Notice board) had never included a presidential run for Huckabee (although the "Colbert bump" served Huckabee well in 2008). But if anything good came out of the announcement, it was seeing Huckabee jam with Ted Nugent on "Cat Scratch Fever."

However, Colbert's disappointment was quelled by recent GOP dropout Donald Trump, who reminded Huckabee what's truly important.
