Last night Stephen Colbert took a look at the trend of mental illness that has pervaded the fast food industry's marketing campaigns. The prime example: KFC's new Double Down sandwich, which if you haven't heard, replaces the bun with two pieces of fried chicken and a dollop of heart attack. Or as Colbert put it:
"This is deep-fried madness. It is breaded insanity. It is a sandwich that lacks all sandwichness...This is the warped creation of a syphilitic brain."
But if you're familiar with Colbert, you know he's no stranger to eating things on the show. So no amount of sandwich insanity would keep him from taking a bite of that Double Down.
