Avant garde department store, Colette, will bid their customers a fond farewell when they close their doors for good next week on Wednesday 20th December.

After 20 years situated on the fashionable Rue Saint-Honore in Paris, Colette announced last month that the concept store would be closing for good, much to the disappointment of thousands of loyal customers who have flocked to the store on numerous occasions, eager to grab a limited edition fashion staple.

Colette, founded by Colette Rousseaux in 1997 was the first store of its kind in Paris. Offering customers luxury fashion, food, books, special designer collaborations and branded merchandise, Colette provided an effortless mix of streetwear with big designer brands. Over the years, collaborations between Colette and designers such as New Balance, Raf Simmons Comme des Garcons x Vans, Aston Martin, Chanel and Pharell Williams x Laduree, have established Colette as the coolest store in Paris - as well as a great place to celebrity spot. David Beckham, Beyonce, Kanye West, Katy Perry, Kendall Jenner and Charlize Theron are just a few of the famous faces seen shopping at the famous store over the years.

Colette’s last collaboration will be a limited edition vinyl record collection between Parisian heavyweight, Saint Laurent and Travis Scott released in store tomorrow. The store space has also been sold to Saint Laurent who will move in after Colette closes its doors. Big queues, long waiting times and stock to simply fly off the shelves is expected. So if you are in Paris and thinking of grabbing an iconic Colette souvenir this week, my advice is get there early! After all, this really will be your last chance...
