Making A 'Thesis Statement'

What if your thesis went places aside from a forgotten file cabinet stuffed with other class work?

This simple question launched Huffpost College's Thesis Project this summer, and we were thrilled when students partnered with us to publish their hard work.

This year's challenge was, "What can we do to make it better?" and it resulted in a partnership with the Undergraduate Awards -- an international academic awards program that identifies the influencers, innovators and disruptors of tomorrow by supporting and celebrating their ideas and research.

Here's how it works: The Undergraduate Awards recruit panels of international academics from across every discipline to read through thousands of undergraduate research papers that were submitted from colleges and universities around the world. Each judging panel will then select the best paper per category, and the winners will be awarded by the President of Ireland at the UA Awards Ceremony in Dublin, Ireland, on November 7th - 9th as part of the UA Summit in November -- a three-day pop-up incubation center for some of the world's brightest students.

This year's Summit will include the Forum on Disruptive Education as well as talks and workshops with young entrepreneurs, high achievers and thought leaders geared towards accelerating the ideas and personal development of each of the UA winners as well as a selection of highly commended entrants.

HuffPost College will be front and center as the global media partner for the awards program, presenting these exceptional projects right here with tips from winning students, academics and UA staff on how to bring your projects to the next level -- that way, you'll have a better shot at winning next year!
