PHOTOS: Five Free Things To Do In Denver This Week

Every wallet needs a rest now and then, so this week we've decided to put together a list of things to do that are on the city.

Colorado Remembers 9/11 on Tuesday with a free concert by Hazel Miller in Civic Center Park, an appearance by John Elway and a special tribute to wildfires responders as well as the July 20th Aurora tragedy.

On Saturday the second annual Uptown Block Party and Brewer's Olympics hosts a competition between a dozen breweries for the gold and on Friday Skyline Park is hosting a "Handmade in Colorado" festival.

Anyone who'd prefer to stay indoors Friday has an opportunity to get their favorite Michael Chabon book signed at the Tattered Cover downtown, as well as hear a reading by the author himself from his latest, "Telegraph Avenue." Meanwhile fans of the outdoors can park their bikes in Civic Center Park and watch "Top Gun," all for free.
