Colton Haynes will reportedly not be part of "Teen Wolf" Season 3, according to Us Weekly.

A source told the magazine, "It's not that he didn't want to return because he did. It's that the heads of the show wanted to limit him to only appearing on half the season -- 12 episodes, not 24."

A spokesperson for MTV denies the rumor, telling Us that there is "absolutely no truth that Colton is being pushed out or that he, or any cast member, is being replaced. We love Colton and look forward to his returning with the entire cast for season 3 of Teen Wolf."

That's apparently news to Haynes, who sent out a tweet seemingly confirming his exit on Thursday afternoon:

E! Online reports that the reason for Haynes' exit is a failed contract negotiation, after the show made a "lucrative offer" to keep Haynes for two more seasons, and Haynes' team allegedly failed to respond for two months. There is apparently hope that the actor could return to reprise his role of Jackson Whittemore at a later date, however.
