The holiday season, when Americans make legions of bad choices about money, seemed like a good time to revisit one of the most venerable stereotypes about money: that Jews have it and hoard it.

I visited San Francisco's shopping district to find out what people really think about Jews and money.

IT'S NOT AS BAD AS WE FEARED.

The people who were not too afraid to be interviewed agree with the stereotypes, but think those stereotypes are virtues.
