Coming Out Of The Closet: Some Resources To Aid The Process

Ready To Come Out? Some Valuable Resources To Keep In Mind

Coming out of the closet can be an overwhelming, scary and isolating time. Depending on your age, race, location, or even just the moment in time that you decide to publicly identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT), your own personal journey of self-discovery will no doubt be unique.

In order to help guide you through this process, and also in celebration of National Coming Out Day, we at HuffPost Gay Voices wanted to provide you with a consolidated list of resources to try and make this experience easier. This list is in no way all-encompassing or definitive of the best resources -- just a jumping off point as you decide when, where and how is the best way to come out of the closet.

Coming out is a monumental decision -- and only you can decide when the right time will be for you.
