Most-Followed Journalists By Congress On Twitter: New York Magazine

The Journalists Congress Is Listening To

New York magazine recently examined who members of Congress follow on Twitter, and the results looked very good for Politico's Mike Allen.

Allen was the most-followed journalist, with 53.3 percent of Congress subscribed to his Twitter feed. Trailing Allen was Chuck Todd with 47.9 percent, and Chad Pergam with 45.4 percent.

New York also looked at which journalists and news organizations were followed by members of Congress by party. "Although they like a few of the same publications, Democrats and Republicans tend to lack interest in ... each other," Dan Amira wrote.

Among Democrats' most-followed journalists were Chuck Todd, Andrea Mitchell, George Stephanopoulos, Rachel Maddow, Paul Krugman and Nate Silver. Meanwhile, Republicans' most-followed journalists included Bret Baier, Karl Rove, Dana Perino, Sean Hannity, Greta Van Susteren and Megyn Kelly. Allen was the most-followed journalist for Democratic and Republican members of Congress alike.
