Connecticut, are you ready?

Here's what you need to know about voting in Connecticut on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012.

The Connecticut polls closing time is 8 p.m. local time; opening time is slated for 6 a.m. local time.

Connecticut does not have early voting, so its residents who want to have say in the elections this year will have to vote on Nov. 6 (unless they casted an absentee ballot).

Not sure where to vote? The state of Connecticut has a form you can fill out to determine that.

The winner of Connecticut collects seven electoral votes in the presidential race. Barack Obama won the state in 2008 and it has voted Democrat in every presidential race since 1992.

In addition to the presidential race, all eyes will be on the Senate match-up between Linda McMahon and Chris Murphy.
