Connor's Day: Internet Brings Together 1,200 Cars For Terminally Ill Boy (PHOTOS)

LOOK: Father's Wish For His Dying Son Comes True With Help Of Internet

Earlier this month, we wrote about Connor, an 11-year-old British boy with cancer, and his dad's wish to organize a car show for his son.

Now we have an update. This past weekend, on September 8, the car show organized in Connor's honor came together in the most heartwarming of ways.

According to Jalopnik, a memorable car show of more than 1,000 classic and modern automobiles, along with their owners, took place in Huddersfield in the UK.

Connor's Day, as the event came to be known, included Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and a lot of Subarus (Connor's favorite), all of which the terminally ill little boy was able to admire and sit in. He was even able to rev the engines of some of the cars.

The reason for the show's success? That the idea had spread like wildfire across the Internet.

"It was the best car show I've ever seen,"Alex Roy, a participant, told Jalopnik. It wasn't about cars competing with each other, rather "everyone was competing to get Connor in their cars."

Car owners came from France and Ireland, and one man even brought his Noble all the way from Cyprus.

Jalopnik originally broke the story of Scott and his son, Connor, who was recently diagnosed with inoperable brain tumors and given only four weeks to live.

Before the diagnosis, Scott had promised Connor -- who is a big car enthusiast -- that he'd take him to a car show.

Unable to find a show at short notice, Scott took to the ScoobyNet forum to ask other members of the automobile community to bring their cars to a small-scale event he planned to organize near Huddersfield in England.

The 11-year-old -- who has already beaten cancer twice in the past -- doesn't know that the brain tumors have returned. Scott asked everyone involved in the event to not mention it to him when they see him.

According to Kevin, Connor's grandfather on the ScoobyNet forum, "The car community has come together as one to make this boys dream come true." "The support for Connor as been astronomical, out of this world (sic)."Scott has also set up a PayPal account for donations: scottharrison10@sky.com. Contributions will go to a children cancer's fund.

Connor's day will be back next year to continue to honor a very special little boy.
