A Passenger Believed To Be On The Downed Malaysian Airliner Posted This Chilling Photo Before Takeoff

A passenger believed to be on the Malaysian passenger jet that was shot down over Ukraine posted a chilling photo of the airliner before his flight took off Thursday morning.

HuffPost cannot confirm the authenticity of the photo posted by Facebook user Cor Pan, who's surname was listed as "Schilder" elsewhere, according to the Washington Post.

The caption below the photo reads, "if [it] disappears, this is what it looks like."

Friends of Pan -- who was leaving Amsterdam with his partner Neeltje Tol for vacation, according to the Washington Post -- posted their condolences in the comments beneath the photo.

According to photos posted by Jonathan Rugman of Britain’s Channel 4 News, the couple owned a flower shop in Holland. After news of their deaths spread, floral tributes were left outside the shop along with photos of the couple:
