BuzzFeed reports Booker, currently serving as mayor of Newark, will conduct weddings in the first floor rotunda of City Hall after the clock strikes midnight. According to BuzzFeed, at least 10 couples and their families expected to attend the early Monday morning event.
Booker won't be the first well-known figure to officiate a same-sex wedding. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg officiated the wedding of Kennedy Center President Michael M. Kaiser and economist John Roberts in August.
