There's no denying the powerful impact that "The Cosby Show" has had on our culture. We, along with countless others, have waxed poetic about the sitcom's positive portrayal of the black family and it's immense popularity across color lines.
However, the show also gave us something else to celebrate -- epic fashion moments and serious style advice.
Between Bill's colorful collection of sweaters, Clair's utterly chic ensembles, Denise's edgy streetwear and the rest of the fam's standout style, it's safe to say they were a fashionable crew.
So in celebration of Throwback Thursday (#TBT), we'd like to pay homage to the Huxtable women in particular. Clair, Sondra, Denise, Vanessa and Rudy served up plenty of looks that we still adore today. Here are just a few fashion lessons we learned from the ladies (since there are obviously too many to fit in one post)!
What we learned from CLAIR HUXTABLE...
Tartan doesn't go out of style and never underestimate the power of a popped collar.
Every woman should own a pair of silk pajamas. They are both chic and sexy!
It's ok to get matchy matchy with your jewelry. In fact, it should be done more often.
And don't be afraid to be the most beautiful woman in the room!
What we learned from DENISE HUXTABLE...
Headscarves offer so many stylish possibilites. Get creative!
Master the art of layering. Two collars are better than one!

We should wear more hats and brooches -- and preferably at the same time.
Your exit is just as important as your entrance.
What we learned from SONDRA HUXTABLE...
Denim on denim is a DO! #enoughsaid
Cowboys/girls aren't the only ones that can rock fringed suede jackets. City slickers can wear them too -- especially when they are dyed in an eye-catching hue.
Ditch your little black dress for something that will really grab his attention.
What we learned from VANESSA HUXTABLE...
When possible, match your earrings to your outfit.
Take a page from dad's style book and rock a crazy sweater every now and then. And there's that popped collar again!
The t-shirt and vest combo is both under appreciated and under utilized.
What we learned from RUDY HUXTABLE....
Borrow from the boys, but make it your own.
Always serve plenty of sass when rocking overalls.
It's hard to be as cute as Rudy, but it should always be your aim.
We're sure you remember these classic Cosby moments...
