That's Matlock's opening comment describing his upcoming presentation at the first ever "Global Symposium on Cosmetic Vaginal Surgery." Scheduled for Tuesday, January 26 in Orlando, it's being sponsored by the "International Society of Cosmetogynecology." They say it will set "the standard for this new subspecialty."
Whether this array of cringeworthy procedures have any real standards remains an open question, which the cosmetogynecologists plan to answer at the symposium. Notably, there will be a full day's worth of presentations by 21 physicians from 5 countries -- with nary a woman in sight.
They'll be talking about vaginal rejuventation, about labiaplasty and clitoral hood reductions, about the Chilean experience, the Brazilian experience, the Dominican Republic experience, the Greek experience, and of course, the New York experience. Most importantly, these guys will take on "The Great Controversy: Does vaginal rejuvenation enhance sexual gratification?"
After all the slicing and dicing and the "aesthetic vaginal surgery" marketing tsunami by plastics people the world over, it strikes me as a little late to be asking that question.
