Here's How Much It'd Cost To Rescue Matt Damon From His Various Movie Snafus

Let's just say it wouldn't be cheap.

Turns out, Matt Damon needs a lot of saving.

From wars to space mishaps, Damon has had multiple movie characters -- Private Ryan in "Saving Private Ryan," Mark Watney in "The Martian," Mann in "Interstellar" -- land in precarious situations that require rescuing.

Quora user Kynan Eng, who lives in Zurich and works in brain-related research and commercialization, recently helped answer the question, "How much money has been spent attempting to bring Matt Damon back from distant places?" Because, let's be real, we all want to know.

The final rescue bill comes in close to $1 trillion. Eng noted that "making the Matt Damon movies has cost about 0.1% of the 'real' cost to actually send him on all of these business trips."

He is still debating whether to include the "Bourne" series or "Team America: World Police" on his list.

BuzzFeed spoke with Eng about whether he thinks saving Damon is worth the hefty price tag.

“I have to be careful what I say here,” he said. “Let’s say, I think that many of the things that the character is doing are fascinating endeavors which are worth the long-term investment. It’s not about Matt Damon personally."

Totally worth it.
