Cougars Back In Chicago? Reports Of Mountain Lion Sightings In Suburbs

Nearly a year after a cougar was shot by Chicago police in a North Side back yard, people have reported sighting the mountain lions in two area suburbs.

According to WBBM Newsradio, witnesses in Wood Dale and Lisle, near the Morton Arboretum, reported to seeing cougars in recent days. Authorities, however, were unable to confirm the animals' presence when called.

On April 14, 2008, after multiple spring Chicago-area cougar sightings, Chicago police corralled and put down a 150-pound cougar in a back yard in the Roscoe Village neighborhood.
