Bravo TV's "The Real Housewives of New York City" is gearing up to begin its sixth season, but fans won't be seeing as much of their favorite Countess as they have in the past.

LuAnn de Lesseps, also known as "The Countess," has been with "The Real Housewives of New York City" since its first season, but she has recently decided to take a step back and return to the show as a recurring, rather than main, cast member. De Lesseps says that she has decided to pare back her involvement with the show in order to focus more of her time on her family and business. She spoke with E! news on the matter, saying, "It's a win-win for me ... I'm still on the show. I'm still very much a part of the show, but it's not a fulltime thing. It's very engulfing when you're on it. It takes up all of your mental and physical energy."

Despite the more limited role, de Lesseps is still currently featured on the show's cast website.

This season, the cast will be joined by model and housewife Kristen Taekman. When asked if de Lesseps had any hard-earned wisdom for Taekman, she laughed and said, "Keep your head down."

De Lesseps will not appear in the first three episodes of Season 6 because filming began before she had reached a deal on her contract. She seems excited for the new season, however, publicizing it on Twitter.
