Courteney Cox: Cheating Includes Flirting Online (VIDEO)

Is flirting online considered cheating if it doesn't turn physical?

Yes, according to Courteney Cox.

The "Cougar Town" actress delved into this touchy topic on "The View" Thursday. Why? Her upcoming directorial debut "Talhotblond," which airs Saturday on Lifetime, centers around an online affair that takes a dark, unexpected turn for one married man.

The fictive affair never turns physical, though, which prompted "View" co-host Joy Behar to ask if an unconsummated tryst can really be considered cheating.

"Well, let's just put it this way," Cox offered, "if it was my husband, that would be cheating."

Cox has been in the press lately for more than just her foray into directing. In early June, she and estranged husband David Arquette filed divorces docs almost two years after they announced their separation. There doesn't seem to be any hard feelings between the two, who were married for 13 years. Just a week after filing for divorce, the former couple and their 8-year-old daughter, Coco, were spotted celebrating the actress's 48th birthday.
