This is what my friend Roy said recently in a "mass" email:
"I don't think enough people, especially those who can act, perceive the menace we are facing. Islam is a cancer that will destroy us if we allow this to continue. It is not just 19 irresponsible people who acted. Where are the Muslim voices condemning their acts? The silence is deafening."
I am so happy that my old friend Roy called my attention to what is going on. I have looked all over and was unable to find anything that Roy has done in the past to make us all aware of his recent truths. Should that matter? I think so.
However, Roy has a computer and the absolute right to express himself,
As in the old radio show, "The Shadow;" it opened as I recall with the line "Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men, the Shadow does," and we can now add Roys name to it in addition to the Shadow.
Being cranky and annoyed I replied to Roy as follows using his words followed by my snide comments.

Roy, how long has this menace existed, and how long have you been alerting the public? EVERYONE knows the menace, and NO ONE knows what to do about it and retain the Constitution.

Roy, where did you learn this and how long have you kept your diagnosis secret? Many of my Christian friends when I was growing up considered Jews as a cancer as well and did their duty by trying to kill me!

Roy, we have bombed, invaded, killed and wounded hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis and Afghanistan people and I have NEVER heard you comment about that. So how come Roy?
Roy, it is not my intention to be a shit and I am aware that we have a big time problem here, but what you wrote I expect was to fan the flames of racism and hatred in among your friends, and that does not help one bit.
Roy I am cranky, and this sort of stuff makes me more so.
Do you have a solution? I think that it is time for us to start a new war and bomb the shit out of some new people.

It remains a mystery to me why we seem to believe that we are somehow entitled to do in the world what we choose to do.
Naïve and simplistic person that I am I almost always believe in the "let's make a deal" approach instead of making war.
I wonder what President Obama would say were he to be asked what he would have done had he seen his family and hundreds of thousands of his countrymen destroyed by American guns and bombs?
