It's the headline that critics couldn't stay away from. Seth Rogen's new film, The Green Hornet, lends itself so well to an easy and effective pun that newspapers and websites are making mention of the "sting" the movie packs. Or, in many cases, that it lacks. The movie had been seen by some as a "doomed project" for some time that required producers "to confront and fix its problems." That, of course, led to the inevitable yet appropriate headline "How endangered Green Hornet got its sting back." Others have followed suit with similar headlines for related marketing efforts. Here, a list of the best headlines from international papers that take this basic formula and run with it:

Calgary Herald: "Hornet Lacks Sting"

Associated Press: "Review: Generic Green Hornet Has No Sting"

Orlando Sentinel: "Green Hornet loses its comedy sting"

Colorado Springs Gazette: "REVIEW: Hornet lacks sting and wit"

Toronto Star: "Review: Green Hornet, where is thy sting?"

USA Today: "O Green Hornet, where is thy cinematic sting?"

Green Bay Press-Gazette: "Review: Horribly miscast Green Hornet lacks serious superhero sting"

IndieWIRE: "Review: Green Hornet Lacks Sting, Anything Else Even Remotely Interesting"

OregonLive: "Review: The Green Hornet stings a bit, and not unpleasantly"

HitFix: "Review: Seth Rogen's The Green Hornet packs a solid sting"
