Crocs Made Over $1 Billion In 2011, Somehow (PHOTOS)

Most of us shudder at the thought of wearing Crocs out in public (even if we secretly wear them to garden), but obviously some people are still snapping up those plastic shoes: Crocs just announced that they reaped over one billion dollars in revenue last year.

Women's Wear Daily reports that the Colorado-based shoe company is set to pass the one billion mark in full-year revenue for the first time this year.

Analysts expect revenue of $204.5 million for the company's fourth quarter, Reuters reports. Crocs shares (CROX) rose yesterday after the news was announced.

Apparently Crocs-crazy consumers don't mind that the company was forced to stop saying its shoes are anti-microbial last year: a Crocs store opened in Soho in 2010 (we suspect Mario Batali is a frequent shopper), and the company has continued to revamp itself over the years, releasing new styles such as jelly flats, boat shoes and even boots.
