The Crying Knicks Kid Is Kristaps Porzingis' No. 1 Fan Now

The Porzingis bandwagon squeezed on an infamous passenger this week.

Merely six months after a young New York Knicks fan achieved Internet fame by hopelessly sobbing when the Knicks drafted Kristaps Porzingis in June, he's already gone ahead and flip-flopped.

In a matter of months, the No. 4 overall pick has proved to be anything but the Euro-bust many Knicks fans were expecting, quickly developing chemistry with franchise player Carmelo Anthony and somehow sniping three-pointers and violently dunking with his skinny 7-foot-3-inch frame. In sum, he's done big things to win over a salty, but easily swayed fanbase.

And when I mean "salty, but easily swayed," this is exactly what I'm referring to:

Do those glasses look familiar? Yup, it's the "Crying Knicks Kid" meeting his brand new hero, Latvian legend Kristaps Porzingis.

In an Instagram posted on Monday, Crying Knicks Kid pledged his allegiance to Three 6 Latvia, writing in his caption:

Kristaps Porzingis! This is Jordan, the former crying Knicks fan. I am your number 1 fan now! 2015-16 NBA Rookie of the Year! Go get them KP.

Typical Knicks fan. Now let's hope the team and its fans don't break their shiny new toy before the season's over. It's a marathon, not a sprint, you guys.
