CTA Bus Driver Stun Gun Attack: Woman Behind The Wheel Robbed And Tasered On West Side

CTA Bus Driver Robbed, Shot With Stun Gun On West Side

A Chicago Transit Authority bus driver has been released from the hospital as police search for clues on the man who reportedly shot her with a stun gun and robbed her in the Austin neighborhood Saturday morning.

The driver told police she was driving westbound on Jackson when a man who ABC Chicago reports only rode three or so blocks yelled he needed to exit.

The attack left the driver "unresponsive," prompting the man on the street to flag another bus down to aid the apparently unconscious driver, reports NBC Chicago.

A police spokesman couldn't confirm to DNAinfo if there were passengers aboard the bus to witness the attack, but that the bus might have video footage that could help identify the attacker; the man reportedly wore a black face mask and dark clothes during the incident.
