CU And CSU Will Both Play In NCAA Tournament As No. 11 Seeds (VIDEO)

March Madness Arrives For Both CU And CSU

The University of Colorado Buffaloes and Colorado State University Rams will both play in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2003, The Denver Post reports. Both men's basketball teams will enter the tournament as No. 11 seeds.

On Thursday, March 15, the CU Buffs (23-11) will play No. 6-seed University of Nevada, Las Vegas Rebels (26-8) in the South Regional second-round in Albuquerque, NM. Also on Thursday and in the second round, the CSU Rams (20-11) will play against No. 6-seed Murray State Racers (30-1) in the West Regional in Louisville, Ky, according to 7News.

The winner of the CU-UNLV game on Thursday will go on to play either Baylor (No. 3) or South Dakota State (No. 14) in the third round, Longmont Times-Call reports. The winner of the CSU-Murray State game will go on to play Marquette (No. 3) or the winner of a first-round game on Tuesday against Brigham Young University and Iona, according to 9News.
