CU-Boulder May Make Minimum Financial Aid Contribution

The University of Colorado -- pinched by budget cuts and poised to increase tuition as much as allowed by the state -- may make the minimum investment in financial aid next year.

Since 2002, CU has increased its financial aid pool 177 percent, awarding $105.1 million in scholarships and grants to its students this year. By comparison, the state has increased aid for CU students from $16.1 million a year to $20.6 million a year -- or 28 percent -- during the same time period, according to university documents.
