Current TV Adds Bill Press, Stephanie Miller To Its Morning Lineup

Current TV's Newest Show

Political commentator and talk radio host Bill Press announced on Monday that he will be joining Current TV. The progressive news network will air "The Bill Press Show" during its morning lineup. The show's executive producer, Peter Ogburn, told Politico on Monday that the show will begin in early spring.

The network will simulcast Press' radio show during its 6-9:00 a.m. morning block. Press, who previously hosted CNN's "Crossfire" and "Spin Room," also co-hosted a news program with former MSNBC political commentator, Pat Buchanan. Buchanan and MSNBC severed ties last month.

Press has appeared on Current TV in recent weeks, as both a guest commentator and fill in host for Keith Olbermann. He also hosted the network's 2012 Florida primary coverage. During this morning's broadcast, Press shared the news. "I am so excited to tell all of our friends is that just one hour from now Current TV is going to announce that they have a new morning show."

The network also announced the addition of progressive talk radio host Stephanie Miller. Miller will anchor the 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. morning block on Current TV.

Speaking of the newest additions to the network's talent lineup Current TV chairman Vice President Al Gore said, "I’ve followed Stephanie and Bill for years. They provide the kind of smart, insightful news analysis that our viewers want to hear. Bill brings a vital perspective directly from the heart of the Beltway, and Stephanie’s fresh take on politics and news has a decidedly outsider flair. We’re really looking forward to bringing their voices to our viewers."
