CustomMade Curator: Vintage Vacuum End Table

Of all the things we dream of repurposing, an old vacuum cleaner doesn't exactly come to mind right away...or ever. But it definitely was the inspiration for the CustomMade designers of Studio 1212 who created this fantastic end table made from a 1954 Electrolux vacuum cleaner. Renowned artist Marcel DuChamp may have originated the idea of found art, but we like this modern twist of taking everyday mid-century items and turning them into functional works of art. The use of a glass table top brings focus to the crisp lines of the mod design, and we love how the studio playfully left the handle on to pay homage to the vacuum's original purpose. Another bonus: the table comes as a set of two.
