Wooden Palate Is The Cutting Board Maker To The Stars (PHOTOS)

Do You Really Want To Slice Onions On Artwork?

We are suckers for functional art, and apparently, so is much of Hollywood. Ryan Silverman and Eileen O'Dea have been dubbed "the cutting board makers to the stars" for good reason. Their artwork -- we mean hand-made cutting boards -- are proudly displayed in the kitchens of Jennifer Aniston, Ringo Starr and Cameron Diaz among others.

The Wooden Palate uses recycled woods -- including that from the Atlantic City boardwalk -- to produce exquisite boards. Silverman has been Hollywood's go-to guy for wood floors and interiors for years. The Wooden Palate is created entirely in Los Angeles.

But don't get too hung up on whether these cutting boards belong in frames on the walls or on your countertops next to the onions waiting to be chopped. "They were meant to be used," said O'Dea, "and only improve with age."
