My thanks to P!nk for this blog post title.

I just finished watching ABC Family's new movie Cyberbully. To say it was a fantastic movie is a huge understatement. I've never seen anything like it. It was such a "real" movie, if you will. There were no embellishments; it wasn't over the top. My sister even pointed out that Emily Osment's character wore the same earrings for a majority of the movie and that's something you never really see in movies; it was real.

I know what it's like to see someone go through that. As you could see in the movie, and this goes without saying, it's not pretty. It makes you angry. You want to go out and find all the people who caused your loved one so much pain. You want to make them stop it. You want them to know exactly how much pain they caused and exactly how much damage they've done. You want an apology. And you want them to never ever do it again.

The fact of matter is, though, that doesn't always work. Sometimes, retaliating will only make the bully angrier and come after you even more. On the other hand, sometimes, standing up to a bully will make he/she back down.

However, I find that the easiest way to stop cyberbullying, in this case, is to delete it. This brings me to ABC Family's Delete Digital Drama campaign. I'm so impressed that the challenge of stopping bullying is really being taken head-on. I'm sure you'll probably read Emily Osment's blog about the movie and the campaign before/instead of mine, but here's the link to hers if you haven't read it already. It's very inspiring. :)

Lastly, just please spread the word about the campaign. Add the badge to your Facebook and Twitter accounts. Tell your friends and family. Do all that you can to Delete Digital Drama.
