Cyndi Lauper Plans 'Home For The Holidays' Concert With Pink, Josh Groban Benefiting Homeless LGBT Youth

Pink And Cyndi Lauper To Get Gay For The Holidays

Cyndi Lauper's True Colors Fund announced the organization's third annual "Home For The Holidays" benefit concert this week, an initiative that seeks to eliminate rates of homelessness among lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth through a project titled Forty To None.

Among those to join the iconic performer for the "Home For The Holidays" event at New York's Beacon Theatre is Pink, a long-time LGBT and marriage equality advocate. Other celebrities lined up to take part in the benefit include Josh Groban, Susan Sarandon and the Indigo Girls.

With 40 percent of homeless youth reportedly identifying as LGBT, the Forty To None organization seeks to combat these statistics by "educating and engaging the public, advocating within government and media, creating empowering experiences for these young people, facilitating leading research, and aiding service providers in building their capacity and creating an inclusive environment within their agencies."

One-hundred percent of the proceeds raised through Lauper's "Home For The Holidays" event will go to the Forty To None organization.

“Home for the Holidays is once again going to be an amazing night of music and comedy in support of a cause close to my heart, homeless gay and transgender youth," said Lauper in a statement. "I'm proud that we have built a show that not only sells out every year, but has become well-known for bringing together a stellar array of artists to help change the world through an evening of incredible performances. This year’s concert will help us to continue to move our Forty to None Project's work forward to help these young people live happy, healthy and productive lives.”

"Home For The Holidays" is slated to take place on Saturday, Dec. 7 at the Beacon Theatre in New York. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit the True Colors Fund website. Tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 25.
