Just when you thought conservative site "The Daily Caller" couldn't get any worse, it went after 14-year-old Ahmed Mohamed, who was recently arrested for bringing a homemade clock to school that his teacher mistook for a bomb.
In a story published Tuesday entitled "'Severely Traumatized' Clock Kid Ahmed Mohamed Will Go To Qatar For Some Reason," the author mockingly insinuates that the teacher was justified in her suspicion because Ahmed has accepted an invitation to visit Education City, an educational district on the outskirts of Doha, Qatar.
According to the post:
"Besides, if you’re trying to make Americans feel guilty about being aware of Islamic terrorism, what could be better than traveling to Qatar? It’s just more proof that Ahmed has been “severely traumatized."
Education City, an initiative launched by the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, is home to the branch campuses of multiple educational institutions, including U.S. schools like Carnegie Mellon University, Georgetown University, Northwestern University, Texas A&M University and Virginia Commonwealth University.
Because an outpost for Western education in the Middle East is exactly where you'd go to train for life as a jihadi, right?
