Tucker Carlson Forced To Apologize To Buzzfeed Reporter For Awful Tweets

Tucker Carlson Forced To Apologize Over Appalling Tweets

The Daily Caller's editor-in-chief Tucker Carlson and his reporter Patrick Howley apologized Thursday for a string of offensive tweets that were revealed publicly after Howley deleted them.

Just after Howley took down two overtly sexist tweets he wrote on Wednesday, the Huffington Post's Ryan Reilly alerted the Caller's chief that he had taken screenshots of the tweets.

Here are the tweets:

The tweets were aimed at Buzzfeed reporter Rosie Gray, whose year-old article on former Clinton adviser Sidney Blumenthal came under fire this week on the blog Firedoglake. The piece attacked Gray's personal life and claimed that she had been sexually involved with a source behind her Clinton story, Eli Lake, writing that "Lake may be pumping more than stories into Gray."

The set of tweets were blasted as "disgusting" and "appalling."

Howley deleted his Twitter account and reportedly apologized to Gray just a couple of hours later, as did Carlson.
