Matt Damon Hates Filming Shirtless Scenes, Thinks Sex Appeal Is Gone

Matt Damon Hates Filming Shirtless Scenes

Remember that scene in "Good Will Hunting" when the spry Matt Damon revealed his toned physique? (Well, we do.)

But in the years that followed, the star has kept his shirt on. And it turns out, it was no accident.

"On the first 'Bourne' movie, I was in the best shape of my life, and we purposely never did a shot of me with my shirt off," he told Parade. "I try to stay away from the beefcake shots."

While Damon's career has been defined by his acting rather than his abs, the star feels his sex appeal is not what it used to be.

"I was down by NYU getting a cup of coffee at Starbucks, and there were a bunch of college-age students working there. The girl at the counter said, 'Oh, wow, I just loved you in 'The Departed.'' I said, 'Thanks a lot.' And she goes, 'I know, I know, it was a long time ago.' And I thought, well, there you go. Because to her, if she's 19, it probably came out when she was 13 or 14, so it feels like a generation ago."

So now you know, if you're a barista working at Starbucks and you happen to look up and see Matt Damon, let him know that you still think he's hot.

Damon will next appear in "We Bought a Zoo" alongside the sultry Scarlett Johansson.
