An original Ghostbuster is coming back.

Dan Aykroyd confirmed a cameo in Paul Feig's upcoming "Ghostbusters" reboot on Twitter Tuesday night. According to Entertainment Weekly, the actor tweeted, "On GB set shooting my scene with funny beautiful Kristen Wiig Lady GBs are adorable, hilarious and badass Exhilarating!"

Aykroyd has since deleted the tweet, but his reps confirmed his appearance in the film to EW. The Huffington Post could not immediately reach his reps for further comment. According to IndieRevolver, Aykroyd will reportedly play a cab driver in the new film and have a scene with Wiig.

While we will likely see Aykroyd, who starred in the first two "Ghostbusters" films, in the reboot, don't get your hopes up for his former co-star Bill Murray. The actor has has a long history of turning down offers for another "Ghostbusters" film and told MTV News at Comic-Con that there were currently no plans to appear in Feig's reboot. Murray does, however, approve of the new all-female cast.

Last week, Feig tweeted the first official photo of the new "Ghostbusters" cast, featuring Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon and Wiig in their jumpsuits. The director has also shared a look at the new Ecto-1 and the proton packs.

"Ghostbusters" is set to hit theaters July 22, 2016.
